Calculators are estimates, not advice
Our calculators provide planning estimates based on the measurements you enter and typical formulas, densities, coverage rates and prices. Results are a guide only. They are not engineering, building or financial advice, and they do not replace the judgement of a licensed professional or the specifications of your product manufacturer.
Always confirm quantities with your supplier before ordering and verify compliance requirements, such as National Construction Code stair limits, with a licensed builder or your local council. Prices shown are typical Australian figures at the date indicated and will differ from real quotes.
The quote service
When you submit a quote request, we pass your details to up to 3 independent professionals who service your area. We are not a party to any agreement you make with them, we do not guarantee their work, licensing or pricing, and we are not responsible for the outcome of any engagement. Do your own checks before hiring anyone, including licence verification with your state regulator.
Acceptable use
You agree not to submit false quote requests, scrape or bulk download the site, interfere with its operation or use it for anything unlawful.
Intellectual property
The site design, content and calculator implementations belong to Handy Measure. You may link to any page freely. You may not republish our content or embed our calculators without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from use of the site, calculator results or professionals we introduce. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
